Skeptics in the Pub
Skeptics in the Pub is a monthly meet-up of the Australian Skeptics Inc., a casual meeting of people with an interest in the investigation of the paranormal and pseudo-science from a responsible scientific viewpoint.
The Australian Skeptics were founded in Victoria in 1980, after a visit to Australia by James Randi, who encouraged its establishment based upon the USA Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal.
Though originating from a Melbourne based organization, it has since grown to a national one and currently has some 2100 members with branches Australia-wide.
